Undecember Drops The Farside Update with New Roguelike Wave-Defense Content

Undecember has kicked off its new season, The Farside. The hack-and-slash RPG is developed by NEEDS Games and published by LINE Games. The new season brings a fresh roguelike wave-defense mode, new Skills, changes to existing Channeling Skills, and a bunch of other system and balance updates.

The biggest addition in Undecember The Farside is Agony Wave

It’s a new roguelike-style wave-defense activity where you deal with repeated groups of enemy monsters and Bosses. You can access Agony Wave from Saluto, although getting in requires an Agony Key. You can obtain that item by defeating a Chaos Dungeon Boss.

Once inside, the basic goal is to defeat Normal Monsters and fill up the Gauge. That eventually leads to the appearance of a Wave Boss that you need to take down. Clearing a Wave also comes with a choice between three different options, with each one combining a Blessing and a Curse. There’s also a limited-use option that lets you remove choices you don’t want.

You can also pick up Agony Shards while progressing through the Waves. Use them to directly choose a Final Reward Chest, while the mode and other gameplay can also provide access to newly added Essences. The new Essences include Spica, which grows Runes Lv. 31 and above, and Casthor, which applies a multiplier to a Gear’s Quality and Option values.

The Farside also adds 2 new Skill Runes to Undecember: Divine Punishment and Charged Shot. Meanwhile, 5 existing Channeling Skills have received significant improvements. Flamethrower, Sacred Light, Domain of Strength, Sacred Devotion, and Mana-Infused Sentry can now maintain their Channeling while the player moves.
