Monster-collecting RPG Cassette Beasts 2002 set for release in March 2027

One missed from the recent flurry of announcements - the monster collecting RPG Cassette Beasts 2002 is set to release and it's going to be a good one. You don't need to have played the original Cassette Beasts, but you should, it's excellent.

Developed by Bytten Studios, Cassette Beasts 2002 is a retro-inspired, creature-collector, turn-based RPG set in Nodnol, a nostalgic ode to 2000s London. You get to explore the worlds where man and beast collide to uncover an occultist's plot and transform into over 250+ beasts.

• Record beasts with cassette tapes and play them back to take on their form in battle! Fuse with your companions to gain the upper hand - any two beasts can be combined to produce over 57,000+ powerful and fully-animated fusion forms! Take advantage of alchemy in battle to apply extra buffs and debuffs alongside your attacks or even change your opponent’s elemental type.
• Befriend, recruit, and romance from a roster of twelve companions with full voice acting from a celebrated cast. Each companion has their own motivations, stories, and gameplay perks. Each bond deepened allows for more powerful fusions in battle!
• Explore the beast world of Nodnol alongside your friends with online multiplayer. Trade tapes, record beasts, and fight alongside other players in any encounter, including story battles!
